control volume in Windows 10
One of my favorite things about most Linux desktops is that by hovering over the volume icon in the panel where it is located, you can raise or lower the volume simply by using the mouse wheel .
Neither in Windows nor in macOS you can do this , and instead we have to click on the icon and drag a scroll bar. The convenience of doing this with the mouse wheel is, in my humble opinion, even greater than using a multimedia key, and this simple tool called TbVolScroll offers just that.
A portable, free, open source tool
TbVolScroll is a simple free, open source and portable utility, that is, it does not need to be installed, just download the executable and double click on it to start using it. The only thing it does is to enable the volume control through the mouse wheel when we place the pointer over the task bar .
When we execute it, an icon of TbVolScroll will appear in the notification area of the taskbar , it is a red icon that can be hidden or not, but while it is executing, we will be able to lower or raise the master volume in Windows doing scroll on the taskbar.

If we press the ALT key at the same time as we move the mouse wheel, we activate the precision volume control , that is, we can increase it by 1%, by default it is done in 5% increments.
We can also right click on the icon to configure additional settings , this includes defining exactly the percentage of volume increase either normal or precision, and also lets us customize the volume bar that appears when we adjust it.
