As we have learned thanks to AndroidPolice, Facebook would be working on the inclusion of the functionality «Slideshow”(Presentations) in the Android version of the company’s app. This new tool allows you to create videos by succession of photographs taken from our image gallery, including also the possibility of inserting music. Something very similar to what it already offers Google Photos nowadays.

Facebook Slideshow: videos from images and music

This is a feature that was already released in June in the version for ios from Facebook, and it seems that it will also finally make the leap to the Android platform. From AndroidPolice they indicate that there is still no specific date or further details of its official launch, but we do know that the “SlideShow” function will be found inside the box to add a new entry («Post on Facebook”), Just below the option“Feeling / activity«, Above «Tag friends”. Also available from the button “Add photos and more”.

In the iOS version the Slideshow function or Presentation allows us to create a video by selecting at least 5 images uploaded to our profile during the last 24 hours, being able to add a title and music to later be published as a video presentation.

When can we enjoy Facebook Slideshows?

The deployment seems to be gradual, so if we want to check if we already have the new version of Facebook with the Slideshow function available, we just have to go to Google play, look for the Facebook app and see if the option of «To update”. If after updating the app we still do not see this new tool, it means that we will still have to wait a little longer for the deployment to reach our device and take effect.

Remind you that you can try all the trial versions and betas both from Facebook and any other Android app by installing the application’s .apk file, from trusted sites such as APK Mirror and the like.

As of this writing, the latest Facebook beta posted on APKMirror is dated January 27. It still does not include this new functionality, but we do not rule out that we may see it in the next few hours / days. In any case, Facebook just confirmed via TechCrunch that are doing tests and that there are already users who are being able to enjoy this new feature.
